The Company “PT Bait Citra Agape” was founded and established in 1968 by Mr Paulus Oerip Agussoegito / more commonly known as Mr Liem Kian Bie (LKB). The company started as a trading company, which bought and sold raw bird’s nest domestically. In 1971, we started to export raw bird’s nest to neighbouring countries like Singapore and Malaysia. The demand for processed Edible Bird’s Nest (EBN) grew bigger over the years and in 1978, we expanded to become one of the first bird’s nest processing companies. The processing plant made a humble beginning at LKB’s residential house with not more than 20 employees.
Our first customers were based in Singapore. Now that we have been operational and continuously expanding for over 40 years, we have several hundred employees working in a number of different processing plants. Our customer base too has grown to reach Hongkong, Taiwan, China, USA and Canada. Many of them are still our loyal customers who have been relentlessly supporting us along with the rapidly changing global market.
